You need mentality more than anything, and try to extend your arms when punching. You are improving though slightly.

I would slow it down, son. Feel out the punches, and not try to look fast. Don't try to punch and move around yet, focus on punching technique.

Your hands are suppose to return to the same position they were in before you threw the punch, on the video your arms dropped as soon as they hit the target and you had to bring it back to your face. In a sparring session, they'd capitalized on that opening!

For the first round or two - just stand in front of the bag and practice with the jab alone. Throw a single jab, then a double jab, finally a triple jab. Repeat.

For the next round do the same thing, then follow it up with a straight punch - single jab, then straight punch. double jab, then straight punch, triple jab, then straight punch.

3rd round - Add a slip to the left and right followed by your jabbing and straight punches.

4th round - You can start circling to your left and right then again sticking with the jab and straight punches.

After working on the heavybag - take the gloves off to shadowbox doing the same combinations you did on the heavy bag with good technique in mind, of course.

I would also do a round of shadowboxing with eyes closed - this really helps you feel out your movement and punches.
Hey man you do realise you're talking to a PRO fighter!? Charlie Z is a PROFESSIONAL!

Of course a professional boxer asking an internet forum to critique his heavy bag technique puts a different sheen on it, especially as his only fight was an embarrassing loss against a 1-13 chump following a total collapse after the first punch that was landed.

This guy has no amateur experience or formal boxing training. Say hello to your second defeat.

he had to turn the tape off at the end because the bag swung into him and he spit out his mouthpiece and cried.
