Ok so it kessler first high profile fight and against his best test. How bad would he beat joe in a rematch? He just had an off night like everyone does.

I don't think he could beat Calzaghe in a rematch, at least not for a couple of years.

Kessler and Joe won't fight again IMO, but I think for Kessler to win Joe would have had to get old, which I think is going to happen soon. If they fought in a couple of years time I reckon Kessler would probably be able to do what he always does and box in and out to a decision victory over a more static Calzaghe.

calzaghe is still showing me good things. he has a sort of a craft that a young joe didn't have. just using all his tools and angles at this stage. and early joe was a ****er and i'm not sure if he would be too successful if he still had that style

he still has good years to come if keep fighting. not being biased against joe, i can't see anyone beating him. he beat kessler, a man whom i met and even watched train for his fight with anrade and i though he couldn't be beat.

I bet a grand that Kessler was going to beat him in the first fight so I was keen on him beating Joe at the time , after seeing the fight Joe came up and Kessler went down in my view , Kessler wont come from behind and wont gut out a win with the real top fighters , Joe has too much grit for Kessler and I think that will ever change , Kessler has been good to me in real money bets , I won 3 grand on him when he beat Mundine and 300 when he knocked out Beyer , I wont bet on him against either Pavlik Dawson or JC , I dont see improvement in Kessler only more of the same .

but joe is the only legend in super middlweight. the rest are young fighter that is also untested. kessler has fought joe now so he has experience. he had to dust off some rust in his last bout but he should be back to his old form and looking unbeatable.

I'm a massive Kessler fan, let me tell you, no-one ever boxed as well against Calzaghe as he did. I go through regular wars with Americans on here when I inform them that Mikkel is one of the best boxers in the world and would beat the likes of Pavlik and Taylor pretty easily.

Right now Pavlik v Kessler would be just about my dream fight (after Pavlik - Joe), I think the only way Kessler could lose is if Pavlik just came wading in to him for a straight up brawl, because I'm not sure how Kessler would respond, but I reckon he's faster, stronger and can throw more variety of punches so I'd favour him even then. In a boxing match he'd be too quick and agile for Pavlik and would box him to a UD or late stoppage. Oh, yeah, he'd kill Taylor!
