If De La Hoya wanted to fight Margarito at 154 instead, I dont think Margarito would care at all.

besides, if De La Hoya aint a Welterweight, who else is he gonna face? aint no one at 154 or 160 that would make a good matchup...please, dont mention Mora to me.

Because he is not Mayweather, he is supposed to be Margarito - the warrior who will take on the best in his division no matter what. Not Mayweather - the business first, best competition second mentality having fighter.

It's easy to be willing to take on anybody when you're at the bottom looking up. Now that Margarito is the TOP GUY, lets see if he willing to fight the guys considered below him. One guy in Williams, who has already defeated him and is looking forward to beating him again.

why yes, yes I would. Im not that big on rematches unless a lot of time has passed inbetween, and a Miguel Cotto-Paul Williams fight interests me more because I havent seen it yet. I dont really give a damn if Cotto gets knocked out again, which isnt really a guarentee anyhow...and two KO losses in a row doesnt mean your career is over anyway.

besides, it would make Williams vs Margarito 2 much better if Margarito was coming off a tko win over De La Hoya and Williams was coming off a tko win over Cotto. some things are better left waiting for, and its not like Margarito or Williams are close to being old men. they have time.
