Perhaps a tad dramatic .... But
It will do if the next Floyds and Miguels and more emportantly the next few generations of Fans head down the UFC/MMA Road Kayjay.

If Tarver and Dawson fight we'll have a clear and credible 'best LHW' which might put pressure on Calzaghe to fight one of them (unlikely, if he doesn't retire it'll be Pavlik) or if not clear up the divison a bit and give guys like Kessler and Pavlik a target to aim at should they move up. Hopefully Dawson takes it.
Yeah i suppose thats true, pisses me off too. Still wouldnt make my list tho. And by the way i can see Dawson bieng the top man there and also Zag wont fight them, he dont need those guys, his careers almost over, BIG names only id think like u say Pavlik

          1. Oscar vs Margarito

          2. Floyd vs Margarito

          3. Cotto vs Mayweather(after Cotto wins a belt)

          4. Hatton vs Pac

          5. Calzaghe vs Pavlik

          6. Arthur vs Pavlik

          7. Margarito vs Cotto 2 or Willaims 2(though I think Cotto brings in alot more $$)

          8. Pac vs Marquez 3

          9. Vasquez/Marquez vs Juan Manuel Lopez

          10. Baby Bull vs Pac

          Make these fights happen.

Reason I put DLH & MW on 1 & 2 is cause they are the biggest names in boxing and they are welters, maybe DLH isn't but hopefully you know where I'm coming from. Margs is the #1 ranked Welter so thats why I think it will make alot of fans happy.

Half or 3 of these fights in 2009 would be good

I think the biggest future fight in boxing is Kelly Pavlik vs Arthur Abraham for the undisputed mw crown...

The other night I was watching UFC and Wednesday Night Fights at the same time.

UFC had Bisping and the guy who's going to fight a PPV with Liddel (name please?). Two undefeated fighters (though this may have been a replay).

WNF had Joe Greene in what we call a step-up test, and Joel Julio in an awful mismatch.

So I agree boxing should become more like UFC in that regard.

Boxing just needs to start putting more fights on cable tv.

antonio margarito - de la hoya

this fight has more potential than ANY OTHER FIGHT. De la Hoya will bring the star power. Margarito will bring the pain. the fans will see a great fight and lots of punches for as long as it lasts. they will see the passing of the torch to the next generation. and imo, they will see a definitive stoppage in a brutal fashion as de la hoya takes his exit cue knowing he has always fought the best, despite his loss....
