While it is possible this is a true statement, it was from Margarito's manager so I have to take it with a grain of salt. To be honest i do not remember hearing a damn thing about a rematch back then but who knows.

yes there was. Margarito wanted the immediate rematch! They sent the letter to the wbo and boxingscene. if you go far back enough you will find it in the archives. It just the dumb margarito haters that had nothing to say so they come up with this margarito is scared and ducking williams when the truth comes out its williams who was ducking and declined the immediate rematch. His big mouth attention whore can shut up now and wait in line.

what he says and what the truth is are two different things boof! Look up the old archives on boxingscene. You can't lie about sending a letter to boxingscene and the wbo demanding and have been granted an immediate rematch only to have it declined by williams. I hope the wbo comes out and defends the truth. williams is dying for attention

Right, Margarito deserved an immediate rematch which Wizzy wanted no part of.

Since when does the WINNER of the fight want the rematch

Williams wants his 1 payday cause he knows he is crap and cannot sustain a career, especially when he gets older and has to move up in weight it will be curtains for him.

Let him wait, only problem will be that Williams will lose the belt before the rematch happens.
