Wow, Oscar actually said in that interview in July of 2007 that at this point in his career he wouldn't want to get in the ring with Tony and that he was a warrior that always came forward and had tons of heart. He also actually said that he would pick him to beat Floyd Mayweather which I find interesting.

I guess the most important thing from that is that it just verifies what we all suspected, at this point Oscar is not willing to take a fight as tough and as dangerous the one Tony would give him.

The main point of all this is, after 4 recent terrific fights against 4 terrific fighters ( Clottey, Williams, Cintron and Cotto ). Margarito more than anybody, deserves the payday that can only be made with De La Hoya. If DLH truely wants to endear himself to the Mexican, and all other fans, he will give this great Mexican fighter the opportunity of a lifetime, Money wise. no Mexican or any other fan would be mad at him for that. That would be a great way to leave the game. I hope he gives this fight some real thought.
