I've seen a fair share of his "KO's" I couldn't tell you who some of those guys were back then but I do know when challenged with so called "legit" guys like Lacy you speak of or Kessler He couldn't finish with his TKO'KO's. (Yes I know age comes into factor) But again I don't want this to turn into a name game where who was who and so on...
This is just my opinion and when and if Calzaghe goes into the HOF, the KO/TKO you speak off will have little interest in the decision. The Eubank, Lacy, Kessler, Hop, MAYBE Jones and possibly Pavlik will most likely be looked at for his HOF status. Like HOP is referred too, which is fighting A LOT of nobodies, no one wants to look to his PAST of 19 defenses and bla bla. Everyone only speaks of his current wins that will put him down as a legend and so on and so on...
Anyway i'm not trying to turn this into a name game/hater thread.. like MOST are easily turned into when someone else disagrees with the other.
And think about this: ANY fighter who "steps up" in his career is going to have fewer early KO wins. That, added to the simple fact that Calzaghe has grown protective of his hands, and you begin to see how impressive his later wins really are.

If you can't name an opponent against whom Calzaghe 'wild and flailingly slapped his way to victory in the olympic style' then you can't say that he did, because you don't actually know.
"As always" anytime someone disagrees with "YOUS GUYS" you try and turn it into a hate thread. lol calm down already..... geeeeezzzzzzzz.
I already said my opinion. Why would I even WANT to try and PROVE anything to YOU. You obviously have you biased opinion on me. I don't need to prove anything at all to you. Or any Calzaghe FAN for that matter. It makes no sense too. So chillax and remember to fill ya glasses and grab those girls asses and just keep that **** rollin.....

And when you look at the records of his opponents (many, if not most of them) they're impressive in their own rite.

PAV has a 90% KO rate and everyone calls him a BUM and that he hasn't fought ANYONE either!
Now have a coke and a smile.....

Again, I'm not trying to make this into a "HATE" thread and NOT trying to hurt anyone's sensitive feelings. I've said what I believe and I'm not alone on how I feel. I just know when a Joe Calzaghe fan has even the slightest difference in opinions, **** hits the fan and they cry to the loudest extent turning threads into just the opposite of what the thread starter intended for it to be. Unless of course it was just a HATE THREAD to begin with. Stop getting EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED every time someone doesn't agree with you (calzaghe fans). My original post was agreeing with SD....

As for being a fan of Calzaghe....yep, I am. The guy is impressive. So is HOpkins. Though I despise the man Hopkins, I have to respect the fighter and his accomplishments. I'm also a fan of maybe 2 dozen other fighters, not just those guys who are popular, but those who strike me as unique for one reason or another. I can't think of any boxer that I actually hate....wait, Ruiz I suppose, but hey...doesn't everybody? Anyway, I'm a boxing fan, first and foremost, and if you're looking for someone to be non-bias and impartial, then I'm the guy you're looking for. In my opinion, you're far more guilty of being anti-Calzaghe than I am of being Pro-Calzaghe.
My motto? Neither a nutsucker nor a hater be.
Maybe one or two of you will "get" that motto, maybe not. I keep forgetting what crowd I'm fraternizing with here.

Criteria should be KO percentage, early KO percentage, and that of their opponents. Even without using any names at all, you see some very surprising things. I won't spoil it, check it out yourself.

The decision was fair but Calzaghe deserved the unanimous decision since he clearly won eight or nine rounds.
