Calzaghe Claims "Kelly Pavlik Turned Me Down Twice!"

Ive lost all respect for Calzaghe! He's just pissed that he hasnt earned respect in the U.S. So he beat Lacy(over there) and he decisions Hopkins(here) It is really getting to him, for him to now be claiming that Pavlik turned him down TWICE.. Y would he even be looking at Pavlik ? after Lacy! in a lower weight class and without a title! (He is saying that Pavlik hasnt done enuf to deserve a fight with him now, so Y back then?) Doesnt make ne ****in sense! Donts matter he wont get past RJJ . He has more outside stress working on him, then prefight drama! Jones doesnt have to say ****, sit back and watch Calz crumble mentally.. Calz is acting lilke a scared lil *****.. BOTTOMLINE

If calzaghe did challenge pavlik its because he knew theres no way pavlik would or could take it because of the agreement to have a rematch with taylor. In other words, if calzaghe really challenged pavlik it was only to make himself look tough knowing that there was no way pavlik could fight him. Calzaghe has no balls...he would get stomped on and embarrassed by pavlik, who actually throws punches. Calslappy might be lookin for another fight after he loses to roy jones but he dont want no part of pavlik. He'll probably go for a rematch with bernard hopkins and play it safe.

I think it is unneccessary to hold Calzaghe to a timetable of "minutae". I'm sure he doesn't keep a "log-book" of all his comments and especially, "thoughts".

He probably means that after Pavlik beat Miranda, he looked as if he could be a good opponent. This was only about a year after the Lacy fight, and Joe had had a tough fight with Biko and an easy one with Manfredo. So it's perfectly conceivable that Calzaghe eitthe DID make that remark about Pavlik, or had it floated by his Dad.

What the hell is the difference, the guy is an 11 year World Champion, a first ballot Hall-of-Fame candidate, and the recognised overall 168lb Champion holding 3 major titles. He can say what he wants.

It has been MY belief that 90% of everything that American managers,fighters and press agents say is prime manure, but only 45% of what Europeans say. Somehow, they are more reliable...to me anyway....No I didn't measure or weigh all the boloney,. but this is what I believe.

What is the difference?Pavlik was a middleweight with,depending on the time period,maybe a win over Miranda.The same fight he was an underdog in.Why would he want to fight a middleweight that never showed intrest in moving up at the time?The only time I heard Calzaghe mention Taylor and Pavliks name was around the Jermain-Kelly fight.In that interview he talked about how Roy Jones was shot and he rather fight a young dog like Pavlik or Taylor.Now recently Calzaghe's team has deemed Pavlik unworthy of a fight with him and says Pavlik hasn't proved himself.My question to you is how was Pavlik proven around the time Calzaghe supposedly offered him a fight?

Nothing I have posted is even related to Arum.They are all direct quotes from Calzaghe himslelf.I didn't distort any imformation of contradict myself at every turn like Calzaghe.So far 90% of what calzaghe and Enzo say is also prime manure but they are not American.The ony fighter that comes close to Calzaghe is Delahoya with all his miss quotes.I am not looking at this with a biased eye because I get all my information from Enzo and Calzaghe's mouth.

Why are you crying to me? I didn't say Joe's telling the truth, I didn't say Pavlik's telling the truth either.. I'm seeing it for what it is, a bunch of idiots (like yourself) forming an opinion on something which you know nothing about.

Joe's a very controversial fighter, he's gone back on alot of things that he's said, everything's worked out in his favour though, so why are YOU complaining about him contradicting himself?

I doubt either fighter are lying, Joe wants to fight Roy because Roy is giving Joe more money, where as Joe could very well be getting into Pavlik's mind by calling him an inferior fighter to himself AND to Roy, surely that'd piss off any young fighter that's trying to prove himself.

It's pretty obvious this fight will happen after Calzaghe's fought Roy, Calzaghe said the same things about Hopkins before he fought him, he said the same things about Jones a while back, but he's still going to fight him, right?

You need to stop taking what they're saying so seriously, they both have scheduled fights so nothing they say matters at this point.
