Ok, I'm not going to quibble with you, just point out some facts. CBS owns Showtime. Gary Shaw is the defacto Showtime house promoter. CBS used to show boxing long before Gary Shaw was anyone. Them and the other networks went sour on boxing for reasons that are a whole other topic. CBS was interested in giving MMA a try on Saturday night. Shaw had the connections and the promotional experience to get it off the ground. From what I understand, Shaw is no longer involved with that MMA project. But blaming him for not getting boxing on CBS is like blaming Vince McMahon for not getting the WWE on HBO.

no one is blaming him all im saying is he didnt try hard, it is not just about the CBS **** its about the ESPN covers, the talk shows, he never sends any of his boxers there but he sends kimbo and carano there.

This si why boxing is dying not one promoter is willing to make sacrafices and higher a marketing team or PR people to help bring the fighters along.

look at these Soccer players and baseball players they get mad press! baseball is boring but manny rameirez brings drama...boxing has tons of drama but no one knows about it...drama sells.

anyway, jeff wald, promoter of mora says shaw is an idiot because apart from picking his rematch options late, he picked options for the rematch ONLY, so he can negotiate whatever he wants without shaw....

If he's a 36 year old, part time boxer 6 years past his prime why is he still fighting? Your opinion is biased considering your avatar and sig. Didn't delahoya himself said he wanted to fight the best? YES HE DID! Didn't he say a fight with the winner of cotto margarito would have been a great way to end his career? YES HE DID! If cotto won this fight he would be considered the best correct? Well it's safe to say dlh would be fighting cotto if cotto beat margarito. Now that margarito won delahoya is looking at everyone BUT margarito. So it's ok for him to look to fight many paquiao which is a disgusting mis-match in dlh's favor but yet to fight margarito who is delahoyas size if not a little smaller doesnt make sense for you.
