yall get caught up in the percentages, bottom line is Pac wouldve doubled his highest payday by taking probably 20 percent. Delahoyas name is money, hes the one carrying the fight, why give someone much more than what their worth?

Yeah I guess but what top fighter doesnt have money?

Its numbers really. Look at what Oscar brings in terms of money and PPV buys. It blows Pacs numbers out of the water. Manny needs Oscar more than Oscar needs Pac.

I would like to see him fight Margarito who I think he could beat, but I don't think that will get made either.
One fight at the end of his career is going to change what hes been doing for years?

Manny isnt a nobody, Pac is p4p#1. If he thinks he can move up and beat a great fighter let him do it. But its all in the past now, it will be good for both of them to move on from this.

I understand and can see where you coming from and that numbers are the way of the world , I just think that some of these big fights dont happen because of the principles of some more than the dollar value , if I was Manny and already a multi-millionare I"d be offended in the concept that Im only worth 30% of a two man show , probably just me but I wouldnt take it either .

Unfortunately I think fights like this do kind of tend to have a distortionary impact. I agree that it shouldn't really matter but I just think it does. Whilst I agree that Manny is a great fighter I just don't think he has any business in the ring with Oscar. Hell, it wasn't too long ago that people were saying Manny wasn't carrying 130 very well. Oscar is a big strong guy, I think it would be a complete demolition. I agree, both guys should move on. I am interested to see who Oscar goes at next. I kind of hope its Mora only because I want to see Mora get a grade A whooping.

I dont want this to turn into a debate because its been beat to death. But if you use that logic and just one fight can have a impact. How are you a Roy Jones fan?

I might be one of the few but I think Forrest is going to beat Mora in the rematch. It wont be a Grade A beating but I think he takes it on points.

Firstly I think Vernon is pretty much done and the rematch will be another Mora win. Forrest showed me that he is totally spent in that fight, it was terrible.

Secondly, I know that you hate Roy and thats fine but there really is not point us discussing that ****. Just to clarify I am not saying that my perception of De la Hoya would be altered but just that his legacy in the eyes of others might be damaged if his last fight was beating up a guy who just shouldn't have been fighting him.

Basically I am a RJ fan because I think he was the most skillful guy I have ever seen and he absolutely dazzled me on several occasions with what he managed to get done in the ring.

Well, I don't really care how much Oscar brings in. When it comes to the split it's all about respect. Manny has done enough for the sport of boxing to lock a 60/40 split against a bigger name, which in boxing is a short list. I'm happy though that the fight won't happen, Manny deserves more than 35% of the purse for taking what would have been the beating of his life.

Pacman vs Soto will be a great fight. Soto comes in to go toe-to-toe with his man, and well...Manny is Manny. I think both chins will be tested in this fight but Pacman has an edge in that his technical skills have greatly increased over the years and that was especially apparent against Diaz, but Diaz is a southpaw where as Soto is an orthodox fighter so we won't be seeing a clinic.

To tell you the truth, I think this was all a brilliant ploy by DLH to set up a fight with Margarito. Don't get me wrong, I think DLH is a piece of trash ever since he and Floyd turned in that fiasco last year. But Tony's style is made for fighting smaller men that don't have enough speed or stamina to constantly stay away from his punches.
