Frank Warren. The visa issue was a non problem. The truth of the matter was he had a visa problem that delayed his original flight, he caught a later flight within 24 hours. He was still in Scotland 11 days prior to the fight so there was no reason for the fight to be canceled.

I followed this situation very closely. Guzman was pissed the fight was canceled. Frank Warren said they were having problems figuring out a new date and left Guzman waiting for two weeks, which obviously is tough for Guzman since he loses weight prior to the fight. So eventually he said **** waiting I'm going to 135.

My su****ion on what happened though, which is totally unproven, but I think Frank Warren was protecting his fighter, Alex Arthur and didn't want to see him lose. He makes a deal with Guzman, saying "look, we cancel this fight and I make sure the WBO makes you the #1 contender at 135 and you'll get a crack at Nate Campbells belt." Guzman takes the deal and Arthur gets to become champion without even stepping into the ring. Frank Warren is shady like that!

He has showed no signs of aging, he is in his prime now i don't see why he won't be fighting 6 years from now, especially when he has just started getting the biggest fights of his career.

Because small guys age much faster than bigger guys.

Pick the best conditioned bantamweights or featherweights of all time. Now, at what age did they fall off?

And if you think about it, it does make sense. How does Guzman get to be #1 contender at 135 for the WBO w/o even fighting at 135? Things that make you go hmmmm. And also, the deal makes sense for both fighters. Guzman wouldn't get much attention or praise for beating Arthur and he was going to go to 135 anyways. Beating Arthur doesn't prove much or gives him any media attention. Campbell is obviously a much bigger name. Arthur on the other hand avoids the loss, becomes champion and a pretty known star fighter in scotland/europe that Warren is promoting. works well for both of 'em

Athletes nowadays are different to guys of the past and boxing is different nowadays too. Guzman's style of fighting is also different to many so that's not really a fair question.
