Margarito always throws that many punches around, whether he lands or not. What makes you think he won't do that against DLH? He's done that against EVERYONE! And until some of you realize that, you'll keep thinking he's nothing special while he keeps surprising you.

And, for the record, he was averaging 88 punches per round the first six rounds of the Cotto fight and 91 for the last six.

He really did throw so many punches the first few rounds... well that's surprising because it ain't looked that way... the number is ok but still you have to agree that in the first 6 rounds it wasn't looking like that because the punches were so far off target that it would have been a wonder if he hit Cotto with it...

DLH has more normal power then Cotto... if DLH puts his Jab in his face straight (DLH has a good one and he even could hit Floyd with it) Margarito can't come foward... I do agree that it will be still interesting because the question where it comes down to would be not if DLH is past his prime... cuz he has still enough skill... the question is if DLH really wants it... motivation or if he really became an business man at heart... if he can motivate himself for this fight... I personally think you ppl will get deeply surprised... if he goes in there as business man as DLH the great one there is chance that he looses... but when he comes with the mean streak like against a Chavez or Quartey wanting to prove something... Marga is in on for a long night... and that comes from probably the number 1 DLH hater of all time *lol*

We'll never know cuz he dove for the canvas as soon as Hopkins started really tagging him. He was already getting lumped up and it looked like Hopkins was just getting warm. Imagine 3 more rounds of that...ugh.

And Oscar took punishment in the latter rounds of both Mosley fights after fatiguing. Just an example.

It still makes no different... even if the fights were 20 years ago... who did fear Foreman anymore 1994... and he still could take you out with one punch... of course he wasn't the same... but it doesn't change the skills... of course it can be tough down the road... but for Santos who is as big as Margarito it ain't looked that tough for Santos to me... so yes... the chance is there that it could happen either way...

But one other question about the warrior factor... DLH landed plenty on Forbes. He just didn't hurt him. As far as whether I think Cotto hits harder than DLH...no. I will also add that Cotto is not the hardest hitter Margarito has fought so I fail to see what point you're trying to make.

George Foreman is the exception, not the rule. And Santos was bigger than Margarito when they fought...by A LOT.

All this should be settled in the ring. The logical opponent for Oscar is Antonio Margarito. But somewhow he's gone from Miguel Cotto to Manny Pacquiao to Sergio Mora.
