And, for the record, he was averaging 88 punches per round the first six rounds of the Cotto fight and 91 for the last six.
DLH has more normal power then Cotto... if DLH puts his Jab in his face straight (DLH has a good one and he even could hit Floyd with it) Margarito can't come foward... I do agree that it will be still interesting because the question where it comes down to would be not if DLH is past his prime... cuz he has still enough skill... the question is if DLH really wants it... motivation or if he really became an business man at heart... if he can motivate himself for this fight... I personally think you ppl will get deeply surprised... if he goes in there as business man as DLH the great one there is chance that he looses... but when he comes with the mean streak like against a Chavez or Quartey wanting to prove something... Marga is in on for a long night... and that comes from probably the number 1 DLH hater of all time *lol*

He really did throw so many punches the first few rounds... well that's surprising because it ain't looked that way... the number is ok but still you have to agree that in the first 6 rounds it wasn't looking like that because the punches were so far off target that it would have been a wonder if he hit Cotto with it...

And Oscar took punishment in the latter rounds of both Mosley fights after fatiguing. Just an example.

Chavez and Quartey were 10+ years ago. Feel free to join us in 2008, nearly 2009. And did you see Oscar's last fight? He couldn't dent lil Stevie Forbes but his jab will stop Antonio Margarito?
Right...
It still makes no different... even if the fights were 20 years ago... who did fear Foreman anymore 1994... and he still could take you out with one punch... of course he wasn't the same... but it doesn't change the skills... of course it can be tough down the road... but for Santos who is as big as Margarito it ain't looked that tough for Santos to me... so yes... the chance is there that it could happen either way...
But one other question about the warrior factor... I mean you all now agree that DLH is past his prime... and that Marga would wear him down... isn't it then not a little bitchy for a warrior to go after this old, weak DLH... I'm just asking... I mean there other ppl out there as well... I'm just asking???Last edited by jk4real; 08-14-2008, 11:26 AM.

Yeah... you know and that's not meant bad but I can imagine a lot of things... what would have been and what not... I mean we could write here a big epic about it... and again Hopkins is not a measuring stone... cause he was way bigger... you comparing now Margarito to Hopkins???

Steve Forbes actually has a defense... I hope you won't try to compare Forbes to Margarito if it comes to boxing skill... Steve Forbes is also not as easy to hit as Margarito. Who tells you that Marga can take DLH punches as he took Cotto's... do you think that Cotto hits harder as DLH???

Is it making the middleweight champ of the world (and future LHW champ) suck down to 156lbs?
Is it making the welterweight champ move up a division and choosing the gloves, rings, etc?
Is it asking a guy who has one fight at lightweight to leap two divisions and fight you?
Is it asking a former Contender contestant to do the same?Last edited by IMDAZED; 08-14-2008, 11:29 AM.

...
IF YOU CAN BEAT THE CHAMPION DOES THAT MAKE YOU THE CHAMPION?
NOT REALLY.......
JUST BECAUSE MARGARITO BEAT UP COTTO...DOESNT MEAN MARGARITO CAN BEAT UP SOME OF THE FIGHTERS COTTO BEAT UP.....LIKE SHANE MOSLEY FOR EXAMPLE.......IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE TWO INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE IN THE RING......YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS GONNA COME OUT ON TOP.....THESE MEN ARE ALL "PROFESSIONAL" FIGHTERS....EACH ONE HAS THE SKILL AND HUNGER TO WIN.....IT ALL COMES DOWN TO WHO WORKED HARDER THAT NIGHT. SO IT REALLY DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING WHEN YOU BEAT THE CURRENT CHAMP......SO WHEN DOES IT MATTER?
WHEN A FIGHTER CAN DEFEAT THE CHAMP AND CONTINUOSLY STAY AT THE TOP. WE HAVE SEEN MANY FIGHTERS STAY ON TOP FOR MANY YEARS.....BUT IN THAT TIME DID THESE FIGHTERS FIGHT THE BEST MEN THEY COULD HAVE.....?
NOT REALLY.......THEY PICK AND CHOOSE..WHO AND WHEN AND WHERE....A FIGHT IS A FIGHT NO MATTER WHAT....SO IT DOESNT MATTER WHERE, WHEN AND WHO YOU FIGHT, IF YOU SAY YOUR THE POUND FOR POUND BEST FIGHTER......JUST FIGHT......AND WE WILL SEE WHO IS THE BEST AT THE END OF 12 ROUNDS.....
ONLY ROOM FOR ONE.....HE WAS UP AND HE WAS DOWN....BUT ALWAYS ALWAYS FOUGHT THE BEST.....
WHO IS THIS?
NONE OTHER THAN......
"CASSIUS MARCELLUS CLAY JR."
-jesus loves you-
