That's strange. What would that make Calzaghe then?

were talking about morales here, at that NIGHT i don't see ANYONE ELSE who could HAVE KO Erik, THAT NIGHT

sure MAB or JMM could give him a run and beat him, but i dont see SOTO doing that back then...

And i agree, the fight was great,IMO that was Morales's last fight, after that,he wasnt the same,he lost to Raheem, which in my eyes, was a certain he would lose to Manny in a rematch, and he did,a great fighter, imagine Erik would have retired after the 1st fight

Again, Morales post Raheem fight had lost a step and was one foot out of the door, Which at that point, Soto was good enough to beat him, Soto is bigger than morales, and morales would at some point be forced to go toe to toe, and Soto has excellent power that morales would have to respect. i dont think hed be able to handle Soto. Especially with Morales above his prime weight against a young hungry fighter.

Watching Morales against Injin Chi, Guty Espadas and Jesus Chavez as well as Carlos Hernandez, its obvious to me how much he lost by the time Pac/Morales II rolled around. I am not making these judgments out of 2 or 3 pac fights i have seen.

why would Erik Retire after the first fight?

Erik was in the mix of things after that victory, the second fight with PAC would have been fought at 135 if he have beaten Raheem and who knows wahat would have happen...

IMHO zaheer just fought a very smart fight and stick to his game plan en route to outpointing Erik and derailing/screwing all his plans for a 4th title in his 4th weight class...

imho i still think Erik was in his "game", raheem at that point was not a good match up for erik, raheem was like sotto's guzman and Erik is an inch taller than Humberto and his body at that time was aching to be at 135 so Soto is NOT bigger than morales ...

the way i see it ERIK GOT SHOT BY PAC (the back2back ko) AND ERIK TRYING TO CATCH THE WEIGHT at 130 (2X) ...
