Oscar has no choice but to fight the Tornado

Oscar has no choice, Bob Arum will not budge during negotiations with De La Hoya. Arum is stubborn and prides himself on always having other options. They already have Humberto Soto lined up for Manny to defend his title against. Manny's got many options, Oscar's running out of 'em.

Manny and his people know the Oscar fight is dangerous, and they know he has buku bucks, therefore they will price themselves so high that Oscar's greedy ass won't agree to thier terms. Tony will fight him for half of what Manny's asking for. Oscar has no choice but to man up, face his demons and fight Tony!

I can honestly say the only "demons" Oscar ever really faced was Fernando Vargas. All these other fights at this point are just for money/legacy, but Vargas is the only fighter that really, i think, got in de la hoyas head to the point where if he lost, it might have broke him mentally. I doubt hes scared to fight someone like Tony as much as it doesnt really maximize his dollars right now.

        Mayorga?

Also, I think the rematch with Shane Mosley who was definitely falling off the face of the boxing planet was probably for his legacy, or as you put it, facing his demons (avenging his loss) as well.

If he were able to get Trinidad again, which he apparently tried to do, that would be facing a demon.

Other than that, no real fights have been personal to him.

Actually, maybe the Chavez fights, since Chavez was such a ****ing ******* to him in the build up to those fights.

Several years ago, after one of his fights, prior to the Vargas fight, Oscar was quoted as saying that he would never fight Antonio Margarito. It was never understood why, besides Tony taking it to him in sparring. So I would say yes, there are a few demons there.

Who knows, he may end up fighting Margarito after all since his fight with Pacquiao is no longer for certain. He could once again delay his return and fight in may like he usually does and fight Hatton assuming Hatton gets by Malignaggi.

The reason he isn't going to fight Tony now (I read this, I'm not just making it up) is because he is only interested in big money fights... and such a big part of his fanbase is Mexican, that he wouldn't be able to make any money off of the fanbase of his opponent, since those would be the same people that would already be watching him.

I wish De La Hoya would go the **** away though... I'm so tired of every fighter willing to pass on meaningful fights to collect their 100 trillion dollar ****ing paycheck for fighting a useless ****ing fight at a ****ing catchweight.

I'm really angry about this if you can't tell.

You know, that makes a lot of ****in sense, that's why he's coming up with this "I won't fight another Mexican in my last fight". I never thought about it in money terms.

At this point if he don't fight Tony, all Mexicans, Chicanos included are always gonna remember Oscar as a chump, unwilling to take the only real challenge for his farewell superfight.

I thought that most Mexicans always thought he was a *****...

Now, I'm pretty sure 95% of Mexicans think he is a *****... as well as 95% of white people, black people, Asian people... etc.

                  **** Oscar.

I do actually hope he gets a career ending injury in his next fight... he has been around for way too ****ing long, and he needs to get out, one way or another. He insists on poisoning the sport with his economic advantage, which is beyond irritating.

I'd **** Millie though... until she was dead.
