Andre Berto on Forbes, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito

Unbeaten WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto is looking for nothing but big fights in 2009. He ends the year off on September 27 with his first defense against veteran and former champion Steve Forbes, who lost a well-fought decision to Oscar De La Hoya in May. HBO will televise the fight as the co-feature to Shane Mosley vs. Ricardo Mayorga. [details]

If someone gives me 5 to 1 odds, I'll put down 5k on Forbes. 5 to 1 isn't to high, Berto is the 6 to 1 betting favorite.

I recently see berto in a interview on the ESPN website, He seems like a good kid! He definatley has the potential to be the best in the division. Although I think facing margartio at this point would be ahuge mistake, but maybe in 12 months or so!

cause he's scarred. collazo's his mandatory, but he opted for the forbes who can't punch and is a lot smaller. plus forbes has never been knocked out so he knows he'll actually get some 12 rd experience which he better be confident that he can do against collazo- cause you know he isn't going anywhere....

I just hope Luis gets his shot
