The WBO was jack until its champions started gaining noteriety. Same thing with the IBO, if its champs are no good, then it has no credibilty. I don't see it having the same luck as the WBO, it will probably never make it. From what I have read, the IBO's claim to fame is that it has unbiased, computerized rankings for every decision. I am, however, down with that.
"The IBO belts are a joke."

Thats exactly how I feel. The IBF formed to retain the 15-round format, but that isn't happening anymore.
Thus, none of it means **** anymore. And that's a good thing, because as more fans disregard the bodies, the best have to fight the best to prove where they stand. The supposedly 'mythical' p4p rankings are usually far more accurate than those of the bodies sanctioning world title fights.
The recent Billy Dib fight did nothing for the reputation of the IBO belt. You gotta have the winner winning in title fights to have some integrity.
It's all about having the most accurate consensus on who is the best. And boxing folks being so, businesses have formed and given false meaning to meaningless fights.
That doesn't mean the Katsidis-Diaz clash won't be an awesome fight next month. The quality of both guys brings prestige to the IBO belt.
