To make a long story short...NO...Floyd will dictate the action and Counterpunch...He would probably slip most of Margorito's punches and make him pay with right hand leads. Floyd is one of Today's best defensive fighters...You rarely see Floyd getting hit with flush shots!

Watching the Margarito vs Cotto fight proved to me Floyd would have lots of problems with both guys for different reasons.

Floyd can potshot Margarito all night and get out the way, but Margarito would be coming after him all night walking through Floyd's shots. Considering Floyd's size compared to Margarito, it wouldn't be a Oscar vs Floyd type fight, he'd eventually would take some hard shots...he's not unhittable. Could Floyd take it? Who knows...

With Cotto, it would be eye candy for us. I think that's still a true styles makes fights scenario and though Floyd may be the favorite, even after a loss Cotto still has a good shot at getting the better of Floyd on any given night.

But this is all dream match talk now because we will not be seeing Floyd for a very long time (if not at all).

no, but he wouldn't have to cause his d is to good. he could stand in front of margarito all day and slip, roll and counter. i like margarito a lot, but he ain't beating floyd!

He wont really have to run all night. He just has to be out of range all night. He'll still stop and trade every once and a while. Remember Marg is extremely slow, and Floyd is Floyd. You cant compare what Cotto did because he's not the defensive boxer Floyd is at all.

Maybe he'd go down, maybe he wouldn't, but he wouldn't let Marg give him that kind of punishment IMO.
