Pavlik has a great workrate, punches 4 times harder than Calzaghe, his chin is ever better.
he has an ok chin, he was stumbling around the ring like a dribbling ****** in the 2nd round against taylor though.

He also said Pavlik is far more dangerous then Calzaghe

I know most of you have already read this but i felt like what hopkins said about calzaghe deserved its own thread. Calzaghe stans need to realize that hes not that good. Hes a skilled boxer...ill give him that but he doesnt even punch, he slaps. Pavlik would make Calzaghe look real bad...i hope the 2 of them fight at some point. Im suprised that most of this site thinks calzaghe would win.

Hopkins knows the deal...he knows hes going up against a less skilled opponent but an opponent with a gun that needs to be smothered. I hate to say this but i dont see hopkins winning...but i dont see him gettin embarrassed either. I could see pavlik embarrassing calzaghe if the two of them fight in the future. But first calzaghe will get exposed by roy jones.
hopkins is too good to ever get that beat up, but i bet he'll look like he was in a fight unlike the calzaghe fight where hopkins wasn't even scratched.

hopkins is right on about the pitty-pat + 5 real punches thing calzaghe does. But it works for calzaghe... a prime hopkins would be able to take advantage of that... 43 year old hopkins is just fighting on cruise control.

The Hopkins who faught Echols would have beat Calzaghe.

pavlik actually lands his punches, unlike Calzage who just slaps his opponents....

The fight could have gone either way. Calzaghe never landed any hard punches throughout the fight. If anyone was landing the harder punches, it was definitely Hopkins.

Ugly but effective. I felt like Calzaghe beat Hops at his own fight.

yeah, Lacy's mangled face and Kessler's swollen shut eye were clearly both a result of his "slaps".

Hopkins makes everyone he fights look **** because he fights like a ****. The way he hugs his opponents just makes you wonder about what actually happened to him in prison.

****! Threw out boxing history there has been weak punchers!! Alot of them didn't resort to slapping. Make a fist and ****ing PUNCH. PUNCH is the OBJECTIVE. Anybody can have quick hands if they don't make a fist ANYBODY. I give Calzaghe credit for one thing, he is really good at convincing the judges that he is winning
