Joe Calzaghe vs. Steve Collins

calzaghe. steve collins was a lil overrated in my book. he beat eubank and benn past their primes, especially benn who was never the same mentally after what happened to mcclellan. i rank collins beneath all three of the aforementioned british legends... -
I think Calzaghe would win by decision. He'd just flurry with 3 or 4 punches then move out of the way of Collins' shots, it'd be a high workrate fight as both like to throw punches and I don't see a knockout for either one of them because they both have/had very, very good chins.Comment

Steve Collins was an EXTREMELY durable fighter, both Benn and Eubank hit him with their entire arsenal, and Steve just kept coming forward.
Calzaghe has the stamina and ability to thoroughly outbox him for 12 rounds, Collins could take a punch but he wasn't the most technically gifted fighter.Comment

Calzaghe by UD. Collins didn't pull out of the fight for fear though, he collapsed in training camp. He wasn't afraid of anybody, he was chasing down Jones for years (even though that probably would have went like Jones v Woods). Remember in his 17th pro fight he challenged Mike McCallum for the Middleweight Championship.Comment
