Hopkins hasn't been in an entertaining fight in a decade

I got a huge kick outta him spankin Tarver in that fight. He has some excitin moments in fights but they're few and far between. Hopkins don't care if fans boo his **** or not, and he ain't a KO fighter, so he just stays defensive and tactical.

You idiots shouldn't even start Bernard Hopkins topics, he's the most boring fighter in boxing and has been for a while. He throws 2 3 punches PER ROUND, he throws a punch then runs in and trys to hold the guy. No more Hopkins threads on this site

hopkins is a terrific fihter and this is coming from someone who generally dislikes defensive fighters like hopkins, mayweather and wright. there are some fights and fighters who i can passsivley admire fighters like pacman, calzaghe, hatton, pavlik, cotto, margarito, you can watch passively because its guys tradining bombs and its exciting.

but if i ever want to see a boxer strut his stuff, if i want to see a boxer that i can learn from, if i want to see a boxer demonstrate the sweet science and show that brain comes first over brawn then i watch hopkins. if im in the modd to watch a boxing match as a fan of the sweet science then i can watch hopkins but otherwise hes just boring.

i respect hopkin i think veryone should - i dont admire him or aspire to be like him in the same way that i aspire to fight like the calzaghe's, kesslers, cotto's, margaito's and hattons' of this world but i know a good fihgter when i see one, and hopkins is a fighter who does deserve our respect.

He was entertaining up to the Tito fight. He isn't as entertaining today, But he is still one of the most skilled fighters around.

I think the second half of the first fight with Taylor was entertaining. Probably only because Hopkins knew he was behind on the cards and went for a KO but it to me was probably the most entertaining 5 or 6 rounds from B Hop in the last 7 years or so....Lefty
