Oh buddy come on !? he was fighting like that cause hes got no lungs left at that age !
I am Huge hopkins fan but age is a factor here!
Everytime there was a chance of any exchanges hopkins would hold and spoil etc etc
I am a hopkins fan but i dont wanna watch him fight like that or let alone win like that !Comment

I really have to give hopkins mad respect for taking this fight. He knows how dangerous this is for him. At 43-years of age he could end up seriously hurt. I think he just wants to go out with a big victory. If he wins here i'm sure he'll retire. If he had won against calzaghe he would have retired. But, pavlik is just a power punching machine! Whats worrying is that against calzaghe hopkins looked tired going in the later rounds. If he gets tired against kelly he's getting knocked clean out. He needs to take his training to a ridiculous intensity - margarito style!Comment

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Calzaghe/Hopkins II.
Interesting to see what both fighters would do different. Joe would shorten his punches from the start and not stand off Hopkins as much in the first fight (which he did after the knockdown), I'm not sure what Hopkins would do different to be honest. He actually done well when they exchanged, he should probably be far more aggressive and try and take Joe out in the 8 rounds or so.
He can't up the workrate, he's too old.
Joe probably would win alot wider in a rematch.Comment

The point that I don't get is that ppl give him respect because of his age... **** that... boxing is a competive sport either you are or you don't... I mean why is fighting if everybody afterwards say: ''Well he's 43'' ''Good for a 43 year one'' ''Even with his 43 he made him look bad'' What the ****... I think it is unfair to his opponents as well as to him. Do you want to remember him as great boxer or as a guy who was well past 40 and still made ppl look bad...
Calzaghe... it's funny how to see he's still not over it... I think what really drives him mad is that he thought that Calzaghe is way better. As he was in the ring he saw that Calzaghe was not that good and it made him mad as hell that he wasn't about 5 years younger and could beat him.
That he now takes the Pavlik fight is gutty but also shows you that he slowly looses his mind... he was some1 who always knew what he was going against but this time he really stepped up to wrong plate... he probably thinks that if he could beat him it would be a big thing (which it would be) and even if I feel I have no chance (like against Calzaghe) I carry it over the rounds or fake low lows for the last 4 to 5 rounds... it's just a sidenote I just now imagined how Pavlik never ever touches him to the body and lands mad bombs and he goes down in pain and holds his crotch *loooooooooooooooool* The difference here is... you could do it with a Calzaghe for a degree... you could do it with a JT... you could do it with Winky... if they feel they win they don't go for the KO... Pavlik is different... Pavlik comes forward with bombs and is still smart enough for most times to stay out of the danger zone... he has long arms and don't have to get so close to him as Calzaghe needed... he can throw from a range... and after he figured Hopkins out... probably about the 4th or 5th round it will get ugly for Hopkins... like been said about Marga-Cotto... there is a different if a small man brings pressure or a big man brings pressure...
This will be his first stoppage... I never thought that Calzaghe could do it or some1 else but Pavlik is different... if Hopkins survives this fight on his feet I would be deadly surprised...Comment
