Boxing will move on without Floyd. Not seeing Floyd shows me the lack of talent in todays boxers have. On the other hand, the focus is off him, and now we can focus on guys like Juan Ma, Paul Williams, Mijares, Pav, Abraham, and many others. They don't have Floyd's talent, but they aren't that far behind. Boxing will miss Floyd, but boxing won't disappear.

I was pretty furious that he chose to fight Baldy at the time. I was someone that enjoyed his fights, and wanted to see what he would do, so naturally watching him take on a paper champ like Baldomir pissed me off pretty bad. Then the whole 'THEY SAY HE'S TOO BIG, I'LL PROVE HOW AMAZING I AM!' What dumbass honestly said baldomir is too big for mayweather? He's a fairly big welterweight, with a Margarito like chin, but he is definitely lacking the power, or the stamina... He was just too flamboyant over a tune up fight. Regardless, he showed some crazy ass defense in that fight, my boy made me watch that **** like 500 times. Especially the part he called 'crackhead mode,' where he goes into the corner and keeps dippin his head.

            not really.

he's a good trainer but i wouldn't want him to be my trainer.

            he curses too much.

i don't know how good a fighter he was though. didn't his career get cut short when he got shot?

his brother roger is a better fighter i think. they both talk like complete morons though.

I'd being lying if I said I didn't want to see Mayweather in there with Cotto, Margarito or Williams, but if all he was going to do was face De La Hoya and Hatton, then I'd rather him stay retired.

i miss his ability and willingness to challenge himself against the best. since he declined to do that towards the end of his career, no. i dont miss him. boxing is doing pretty damn good without him. actually, it feels like this weight has been lifted off of boxing since he retired. sportscenter has been reporting results of some fights. one of the biggest PPV events happened in the WW division between Cotto and Margarito which has gotten a lot of people talking which i never thought would care about boxng. but i would love for him to come back and face someone worth a damn.
