Yeah, I think that USA fighters are really the only fighters the fight over their front foot.

Yeah I hate the scoring too. It seems almost useless that guys throw combos becuase only one point gets scored. Plus the boxing is pretty sloppy all around with quite a few of wide punches. Plus i've noticed they have been warning guys for slapping.

The scoring system is horrible but the fighters are really all that impressive all-around, either. Lots of holding, wide punching, so-so defense. Take away the headgear and you have a totally different game.

I'm trying to think of the come-forward guys.

That **** obviously doesn't work. Regarding scoring points, the shots from the guy going backwards are clearer and more easy to score.

scoring in the amateurs, and especially international competitions (more specifically since the addition of electronic scoring) is notoriously ****ty. it's a tough system to figure out, and doesn't necessarily cater to guys with more professional styles. this is nothing new. same goes for over-officiating.

but at the same time how often do you hear people complain about professional scoring?

if you're not impressed with the fighters at this level, you're a douche. it's not like pro fighting. it's a sprint. it's a fight against guys who, if you're lucky you've MAYBE seen once before.

                True.
But some of the scoring has just been slap my head ******. Not saying the right man hasn't won, but damn, 22-4? In a pretty competitive matchup? I know it's what the judges are stuck with, but damn.....
Are we watching what the **** THEY are watching?
