Even a diminished Hatton should be able to beat Malignaggi.

Yeah i would probably agree with the result but Hatton bullies his opponents around the ring rather than display ring generalship, he fights one way and one way only and when that hasnt worked he can't change up (Collazo and Mayweather) not what i would consider ring generalshipComment

Yeah I'd agree with that. He is a one dimensional fighter. But for the purpose of this fight he will be the boss in that ring.Yeah i would probably agree with the result but Hatton bullies his opponents around the ring rather than display ring generalship, he fights one way and one way only and when that hasnt worked he can't change up (Collazo and Mayweather) not what i would consider ring generalship
Malignaggi has a nice quick Jab, that is all. Unless Hatton is shot to pieces he'll get him. The Hatton that was described as poor against Lazcano would UD Paulie pretty widely,Comment

Hatton's ring generalship involves keeping the fight where he wants it, against the ropes. Ring generalship is not just fighting from the outside.Comment

It's something everyone will have different opinions on, to me ring generalship is being able to adapt to your opponent, anticipate how the next few rounds will play out kind of like snooker in a way, when they play a shot they already know the next 3-4 shots ahead. Like when Mayweather had Hatton in serious trouble in r8 he didnt go for the kill in r9, instead softening him up with the jab for another 3 minutes. Everyones going to have their own versions of ring generalship thoughComment

When Hatton faces dangerous punchers like Ben Tackie or Juan Urango he can be fairly elusive while still moving forward. Against Tszyu he exercised ring generalship because he ensured that the entire fight was exactly where he needed it to be. He was even pushing Mayweather around for periods in their fight and dictating the action. It's something everyone will have different opinions on, to me ring generalship is being able to adapt to your opponent, anticipate how the next few rounds will play out kind of like snooker in a way, when they play a shot they already know the next 3-4 shots ahead. I think that a lot of people have this idea that ring generalship is the same as running around the outside of the ring which of course it isn't. The pure boxer wants to keep his opponent moving forward and off balance, the pure puncher wants to keep the action in the middle of the ring where their superior firepower will win the day in a stand-up fight and the pure pressure fighter will want to keep his opponent's back against the ropes where he can wear them down without opening himself up too much. Check out George Foreman, Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier from the same era and in the same division and you can see how each of them displays good ring generalship but in different ways.Comment
