If you're Cotto, who do you fight next?

Personally if I'm Cotto, I feel pretty good about my performance against Margarito, I outboxed him I tagged him repeatedly, I just underestimated how much the man can take. Maybe I can't beat him, maybe he's that tough, but I'm figuring what I brought that night, takes anyone else out. And if I can't beat him, I want to make money fights before a rematch with him. Me I'd go after Williams, a win there put's me right back.

Put yourself in his position, what do you do if you're him? Tell me your story.

i think Williams is probably higher risk than even a Margarito rematch... definitely lower reward

i'd look to fight Clottey before rematching Margarito... possibly with a Zab Judah rematch/Kermit Cintron fight at some point before fighting Margarito again

Williams would do what Margarito did only sooner...like 4 rounds sooner.

Id go after Williams or Berto, not sold on either of them. Id probably go with Williams first since Berto does have some pop and sneaky punches. He needs to stay away from guys with one punch power such as Cintron, might seem like an easy fight but a Cintron right hand could possibly retire Miguel.

Cotto should fight someone like Delvin Rodriguez or Jose Soto-Karass for a comeback fight. They're good enough to make him work hard, but shouldn't be able to beat him if he is even half the fighter he was.

I think he should fight some average opponent that doesn't have a lot of power. Stay away of the elite fighters at this point. I think he should get back in the ring and get an easy win, look good doing so, build some confidence and then look for bigger names in 2009.

I totaly agree, Williams would be a great opponent to put him back in the running!
