Does Joan Guzman Posses the Punching Power to be Heavy handed?

He was a beast in his the lower weight divisions but he lost power when he moved up in weight?

Do you think he possesses the punching power to be heavy handed?

Maybe not to be heavy handed. But he has speed and a snap to his punches that is second to none. He's able to hit you with the punch you don't see coming, which hurts more. Not to mention that he's a solid puncher to begin with.

His biggest fights were against Barrios and Soto. People forget that those guys are naturally bigger and have VERY solid chins. He has a very solid pop, but he's also had very solid opposition in his biggest fights. (I bring this up because even though he hasn't knocked out really anyone as of late, this has a lot to do with that overall perception. Those are the fights people remember seeing him in)

I think he has power, only problem I see in him is too much slappin, when he feels like turning his hooks over he does land hard shots.

          Guzman is sometimes a slapper.

I've never heard you say something remotely positive about a fighter.

Often his punches are too wide, if he would shorten and straighten them, then yes.

So says the guy who yapped but ate his word.

Truth be told... Guzman is a nobody at 135.

Of course it's obvious you're sucking up to him.
