  • Why do people think we need more Black boxing stars?

I like the way boxing is right now. I am ready for Hopkins to leave the boxingscene. Mosley is on his way out as well. Now people want or say boxing needs new black boxers. I say we dont. In my honest opinion more black boxers means boxing is more boring. Nothing against them, but their slick boxing style does not generate interest. And people will hate boxing even more. What are your thoughts?

Odd, from the guy with Mike Tyson in his avatar.

And just overall stereotypical and close-minded. Meltrick Taylor, anyway?

    Joe Frazier? George Foreman?

James Kirkland... slickest of them all.

If anything i would think a white fighter needs to emerge. More Pavliks. Get someone the white american can root for.

It would help boxing no doubt. But there's not many exciting black fighters coming up right now. There mostly very boring fighters

Andre Dirrell was considered boring, and now he's finished his last two opponents rather impressively. Kirkland has been bashing peoples faces in on a regular basis since his pro debut.

                Let's drop the stereotype now....

Those guys are long gone. We may never see fighters like that again. James Kirkland is the man. He is a diamond in the rough.

Would you all enjoy another Cory Spinks?
