Of course Tito was suprised. He was fighting in De La Hoyas back yard. Vegas. I was suprised.... knowing it was in the judges hands even though I thought Tito did win. Tito won by a slim margin but he won. Watch the fight again with the volume on mute. Everytime Oscar threw punches the crowd would go crazy! most of those punches never even connected in the early rounds thrown by Oscar. They hit glove. Watch it again and you will agree. It's amazing how the crowd plays a role in how you precieve things.

Cotto only clearly won 5 rounds and was on his bike.

no, but the oscar fight wasnt nearly as close, he should have been able to easily give him those three rounds and win. it was an embarassing boxing clinic that oscar put on displaying his far superiority to Trinidad in terms of his pugilistic powers...

I had Cotto slightly ahead at the time of stoppage. Had he just run and survived he still would have lost the decision in my opinion.
Oscar, as you stated clearly put many more rounds in the bank and did it in decisive fashion before he got on his bicycle. No way he should have lost that decision. I absolutely agree., there is a big difference between the two.

In the Cotto Marg fight Cotto was backing up all fight..Granted he was landing cleaner harder punches to Margs face and head but he was constatly backing up plus the rounds were still close. marg was starting to turn the tide in the 4th. Cotto won the 4th and the 5th but with as much of a margin. Some judges may have gave those rounds 10-10 or even to Marg depends on what side of the ring they were sitting on. Oscar had the early rounds in the bank but not only did he run in the end but he stopped punching and got on his horse and simply handed the last 4 rounds or so to Tito. You can't run and expect to win period. Oscar gave him that fight that night but who knows if he stands in front of Tito and exchanges maybe he wins the fight maybe he gets put on his ass?
