Well, i argued for years on top of years with ferocity and countless other posters about margarito and floyd, thats why for me, its just boring to see the margarito/floyd argument because it was so intense on here for so long im just tired.
Cintron had a small bandwagon on here for a minute because before the margarito fight, word got out he was murdering his sparring partners.
ill give you some consensus about some of floyds fights on here:
The gatti fight was looked at favorably before it started, most, including me thought floyd would dance to a 12 round desicion.
Judah was veiwed as the one man who could possibly beat floyd, especially when he knocked out spinks.
Floyd was viewed as ducking a real challenge in baldomir before he fought him in november, floyds choice of baldomir was viewed very faborably because he was about to face spinks at 154, despite what you may read here today, floyds desicion to fight him was very respected since he was the linear champ, dont listen to the bull**** you read today. Because margarito only had an alphabet title, the consensus was difficult because brian kenny ripped floyd for only holding an IBF title that judah held because baldomir didint pay the sanctioning fee, as well as not being linear champ at 140, so when floyd won that linear champ, it was highly respected.
When margarito fought clottey, many of whom had never seen margarito were unimpressed because he spent an entire year ripping mayweather and to many he looked terrible and unimpressive. His only fight before then was a defense hardly anyone saw against manuel gomez, he had a long layoff. When he fought paul williams and lost, his bandwagon died down real heavily.
Calzhage impressed many by beating lacy and if you look closely, most calzhage fans were not even here prior to march 06, however, his showing against Bika was unimpressive to most and the manfredo stoppage was terrible. The kessler fight impressed me, but the hopkins fight in my opinion, brought his stock down because he looked so feminine, more than ever, when throwing his punches.
Pacman has had a huge filipino contingent on here for years, after he knocked out barrera i remember viewing this board as a guest and many pac and mexican fans went nuts on here. When he fought morales he lost, but he lost no stock on here because the fight was close even though he lost a clear desicion. To be honest, of all the nuthuggers on here, pac has the most staying power, but also some of the most delusional, i remember they made the Pinoy forum just to accommodate all of the filipino fans.Comment

iv gotta say cotto. calzaghe is undefeated. williams avenged his defeat and margarito beat cotto so there fans have sumat to shout about at the v least. cotto lost a fight he shudda won.Comment
