I know I hate it when people use that excuse in the first Margarito/Williams fight. Because I think Marg only has one gear and that's all out no matter who he's fighting and Williams just confused him because he threw more punches and I don't think Marg was used to facing someone that tall and with that kind of length and that big of a punch output.

In boxing, your mistakes are your opponents doings, so when people say that Margarito started slow and thats why he lost, I say phooey, don't make excuses.

Williams' style just doesn't suit Margarito. Margarito is a stand-up, straight in the front door fighter. Against shorter guys like Quintana, if you make Williams miss he falls off balance and can't support his big frame because he commits so much to every punch. Against Margarito, Williams was connecting at will so he could maintain his balance and guard against counters.

If Margarito wasn't motivated, why did he surge late in the fight and try to pull out the win?

Barring a KO, Williams has the perfect style to beat Margarito.

Margarito overwhelms opponents with non-stop punches and constant pressure. What happens when his opponent throws more punches than he does, and constantly puts him on the defensive? Well, you get the first Margarito Williams fight.

Clottey was being hailed as an elite fighter before the Judah fight and half of the people in the U.S. think Roy will beat Calzaghe and these fighters are underrated?

I haven't seen many people pick Roy to beat Joe. Most of the posts I've read, consider it a mismatch.
