Arthur Abraham-Raul Marquez Lands in Bamberg on Oct. 4

King Arthur Abraham will return to the ring on October 4 when he defends his IBF middleweight title against mandatory challenger Raul Marquez. “It will be a tough fight,” the unbeaten 28-year-old (27-0, 22 KOs) said. “Marquez is a strong fighter and he deserves to fight for the world title. But I will not disappoint the fans in my home city of Bamberg. The belt will remain in Germany.” [details]

Middleweights Kelly Pavlik and Arthur Abraham are keeping the mw division alive and in the spot light because of several simple reasons: Both are KO artists that have a piece of the mw title and fight, in this day of age, relatively frequently at 3 fights per year...

Marquez better not try, and puch with Arthur like he did against Lorenzo or it will be a short night imo. that being said the ****er has a great chin.

Abraham defending his title against a guy who Jermain Taylor KO'd four years ago... if AA doesn't stop this guy, it will be disappointing. Marquez cuts pretty easily too.

Marquez got beaten pretty badly by Taylor and he couldn't get by a past prime McKart, his best days were at 154 as well. I just think Lorenzo was way too hyped, I never thought he was anything other than a power puncher, Abraham will win this one sidedly IMO.
