Well you can believe that all you want but we all know what happend and Tito knows it too. That's a big reason he wanted no part of the DLH rematch, his father knew it, everyone knew it.

I think in the history and legacy of boxing, DLH will be higher up on the list than Tito. Tito was a power puncher but wasn't the boxer DLH was and the fact that the poster said you never knew what you were going to get with DLH, shows his diversity and ability to change from fight to fight.

I don't think DLH created a crowd pleasing style, I actually think the opposite. When you really think about it, DLH either won convincingly or lost convincingly. He had very few fights where it was a war and you didn't know who to pick in the fight.

The Mosley fights were close but other than that I think he dominated Tito for 8 rounds, lost clearly to Hopkins but really didn't have that great, career defining fight like other legends have had.

His best fight IMO was against Quartey, where they were going back and forth until DLH put him on his back in the last round. For me, that was his most entertaining fight by far.

DLH didint lose convincingly to Tito or Mosley, and he didint win convincingly against Sturm or Whitaker, Also, everyone knows his career defining fight was against Vargas, he HAD to win that fight, he had everyone from this side of california and the west coast hoping he would lose and he shut them all up. I dont see how you think he had no career defning fight when the fight against Vargas basically saved his pride by all means and forced people to respect him, especially mexicans who felt vargas was more there guy than de la hoya.

You misunderstand, not that it wasn't a great win it just wasn't a DEFINING fight. Meaning when I mention the name Ali, or Hearns or Duran, you can immediatly tell me, Frazier, Hagler and Leonard.

Those were great wars and great fights that will go down in the history of boxing. DLH really never had that type of fight. He beat Tito IMO very easily. He out boxed him for 8 rounds like it was nothing, watch the fight again and you will see.

The Mosley fights were close, I gave one to Oscar and one to Msley but they weren't GREAT fights. They aren't going down as one of the best fights you have ever seen. Same with Whitaker and Vargas. He beat Vargas up for 11 rounds (if I remember correctly) it wasn't that close.

My point is, Oscar is a great fighter, a HOFer nod oubt but when it comes to great fights, I just don't think a fighter of his level really has many if at all.
