I never like Cotto, I was the first guy in line to see this dude get a loss, but to call him over rated is a very ****** statement for any real boxing fan to make, He lost a very good fight to a fighter that all other are scared of, he was 1 fight way from being the new star of boxing and he looses and you guys talk **** and all that, and call him over rated... this is ******.

That dude deserves better from boxing fans.

Put me down as ******. I like Cotto but do happen to think he was a little overrated. Several people had him at the top of their p4p lists and said he would beat Floyd Mayweather. To me, his performance against Margarito, galant as it may have been, proved this not to be the case. It doesn't change the fact that he is a very good fighter and I still think he is top 10 p4p, but he certainly has limitations that became apparent in that fight which were not widely acknowledged prior to the fight.

Margarito and Floyd are two totally different fighters and styles - just cause Cotto lost to Margarito means very little to a match up with Floyd. Cotto gives PBF a run for his money.

Cotto fought a war and lost. Nothin to be ashamed of. Every guy who loses gets called overrated or some ****.

I really don't think he does to be honest. I just don't see any aspect where Cotto could gain a sizeable enough advantage to have a chance. I think Floyd would win a fairly wide decision if that fight was to come off.

exactly, I'm a HUGE Marg fan but I cant take anything away from Cotto. He really give it his all, ANYONE in front of Marg THAT NIGHT was going to end up the same way. Same bloodly face, whether it was Pretty ***** Floyd/ODLH/Sugar Shane/ **** even Pavlik, lol. He just had wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to much determination that night, way too much drive. I watched the fight like 14 times alrdy i think and I see Cotto hitting Marg with CLEAN,HARD shots but Marg was like " **** it, I'm not feeling pain today, I'm just gonna keep on throwing power punches"

I don't think Cotto is overrated. Margarito is just the better man.

Cotto isn't over rated. He'll be back. He was clearly the better boxer, but it just wasn't his night. He could've done some things differently, but Margarito was just too much. He lost one very tough fight to a very tough fighter. It's not big deal. He could win a rematch, and is still a very good fighter and has the potential to be great.
