    the Margarito loss to Williams had nothing to do with starting slow. People always say he starts slow but how the hell does someone who starts slow have so many knockouts inside of the sixth round?

    I think it has to do with the fact that as you stated, if he knows you can hurt you early, hell just go for it, to tell you the truth, i didint see this "fast start" against cotto, i really didint even see a "new" margarito, it the same margarito i have been seeing for years, he still doesnt cut off the ring well, he still follows you, hes still flatfooted, he still ups his workrate late in fights, and if he can get close to you he will break you down, it didnt feel any different from his other fights to me.

      Margarito Vs Williams 2

      My thoughts on Margarito Vs Williams II is that Margarito learned a lot from the first fight to commit the same mistakes. I think Margarito knows that the second time around he needs to have a faster start and put more pressure on Williams. I would love to see this fight happend sometime in the future and to those who criticize Margarito for going after De La Hoya you people don't know what your talking about... for 1) this is De La Hoyas "last fight" yes LAST FIGHT which means he wont fight again.. If he's not going to fight again that means Margarito will never face him again. The other guys Williams, Clottey, Hatton and other mention fighters are not retiring anytime soon. 2) this could mean a huge paycheck for Margarito who most definitely deserves it. I think De La Hoya should reconsider...or risk being known as the guy that went out like a *****.. Don't get me wrong I like and respect DLH but come on now... fighting Pacquiao would be the equivalent of Mayweather appearing on WWE.... "it's a show" a freaking CIRCUS!!!

        What happened in the Williams fight is that he tried to box the first half and that did two things;

        1. Meant he was being outboxed and lost most of the first rounds

        2. Meant he wasn't investing in doing any damage to slow him down, to the body or otherwise.

        Margarito is not a slow starter, it's just that he begins using bodywork and many punches to begin the process of wearing down opponents. When he fights a guy with a questionable chin he knocks him out early, if not he tries to wear them down.

        He will not fight the same fight he fought in July when they fight again, he will come out punching and scoring shots just to do damage, not trying to box and coming on too late. That's why I think Margarito will win the rematch in impressive fashion and will bet all my points when it happens.

        Perfect analysis, I have nothing to add really apart from the fact that i think the fight would go the same way like the first but i could be wrong.

          In the first Williams fight he tried to box and that meant a very limited amount of punches landed, it really becomes detrimental to his way of fighting because it meant he didn't slow Paul at all and at the point where he comes on strong Paul still was very fresh. Compare the body work in the williams fight to the Cotto fight in the first half, and there is no comparison he didn't land **** on Williams, and what I would suggest it that his emphasis on body punches is part of the reason Cotto landed so many blows to his head but it softened Cotto and slowed him down.

            I don't agree with your prediction but I commend you for an intelligent response and analysis. But if the fight happens I'm ready for that bet

              you wanna know something funny, in the 1st round of the cotto fight i was wondering why the **** tony was trying to box, that guy is just not that kind of fighter, i dont know why people say "TONY CAN BOX WELL HE JUST CHOOSES NOT TO" he chooses not to because hes just not fact and doesnt have that kind of footwork in my opinion.

              If he can get to williams early, then i will buy your argument, but if williams offsets him like he did last night, you gonna be **** outta points.

                The reason I'm so confident is because Williams isn't strong or powerful enough to keep him off, slick enough to avoid him, or fast enough to get away. He's good enough to make him look bad for a while but it really doesn't matter for him if he is getting in and landing solid shots in bunches.

                Next time the plan will be to put on the helmet and just get in there and start hitting him really hard, caution and boxing clearly don't work.

                  More "footwork" than anything.

                  His feet moved more than his hands did.

                    I'm sure Williams is going to make adjustments that won't make it any easier for Magarito. Williams was only 25 in that first fight. At 27 he is going to be a more experienced and sharper fighter. For his first championship fight he passed with flying colors. That doesn't look good for Maragrito.

                      Williams threw more punches than Margarito did. Over 1000. So you must have been watching another fight. And what boxer doesnt "move his feet?" Sorry, but that's just a dumb comment.
