    pavlic must prepare carefully

first off i think kelly will win this fight, but he will train hard, hopkins is a slick counter puncher, pavlic will have to work behind his jab and watch tape on hopkins to reconize his tricks and make hopkins pay every round and bring some tricks of his own in the ring. my prediction is hopkins quiting in his corner in about round 10 or 11

        A cause for concern!

I am a huge Hopkins fan, and he still has excellent boxing skills, but I am very concerned from the view point of Freddie Roach interview when he said Bhop should retire. He stated dat in da Calzaghe fight. BHop went to da wrong corner 4 times without being buzzed or hurt. don't wanna see him go out like dat.

this is an interesting fight, Joe gave B-Hop problems because of his slick movements and angles. Pavlik only presents power and a straight up in ur face pressure, if anything B-Hop knows how to neutralize fighters that pressure him.... but Hopkins is too old now. Mid 90's-early millenium Executioner would've definitely schooled Pavlik.

I have zero respect for Bernard Hopkins, the man is a WWE wrestler and no more. I have never seen a man hug someone so much as in the Calzaghe fight, what a waste of a fight

he's 43 fighting a guy who can easily throw 80 punches a round. holding was necessary. its part of the game, homie. but i will agree it was a little in excess that fight.

but name another 43 who can, or has ever performed at a high level, and continues to take risky fights..........

u may not like the man's fighting style, but you gotta give him props regardless- over the age of forty and he is fighting nothing but p4p'ers............

Bernard has to get Kelly's respect with power in this fight IMO. He's gonna have to stun him plenty of times and tie him up a lot. Bernard can't stand right in front of guys anymore cuz he's too slow getting off. Bernard can't outwork Kelly but he can land the cleaner more effective blows and lower Pavlik's output. That's the only way. I don't like this fight for him but Bernard always makes it close.

Hopkins just doesnt have the offensive firepower anymore to beat Pavlik. Hopkins being the great savy veteran boxer that he is will makes this fight difficult for Pavlik but at the end of the day yea i dont see him having enough offense to beat pavlik. Pavlik will beat him by ponts in a UD where i doubt both guys are ever seriously hurt. maybe hopkins if he has a rare lapse in his defense...
