I basically broke down your entire argument that "the USA has been losing to european teams for the last decade" when that isnt the case, they are just competitive, but our what, 6 total losses in 2 of them to latin american argentina hardly qualifies as the USA as being the ***** of european teams.

Like i said, you mention nothing of us avenging each and every single one of those losses within the last 2 years especially, along with the 30plus point beating we just served lithuania with.

Again, USA does not send its best squad out there, and hasnt since 2000. I explained this in detail, read it again. Your so caught up in white and black you are forgetting the fine details that often go into why we have lost.
Why do you only focus on "why we have lost?" You need to give the other teams credit for winning. They surpassed the standards of American basketball, on the most important occasions.

The '06 team had James, Paul, Anthony, Howard, Bosh, etc.

The world basketball championship is nothing. They would rather holiday than play in it.

You need something to take pride in.

you are right about 1 thing though kay,

all the hypothetical's about IF NBA players did boxing or IF blah blah blah

but that holds true more to society in general as it is my opinion that there's always a scapegoat for a wrong doing or problem

how the American's saying there team wasn't the best when they got out played by the Internationals or what ever it maybe.

James, Paul, Anthony, Howard and bosh ARE NOT, Better than

Kobe, Mcgrady, Duncan, Garnett and Kidd keep in mind, this is the 2006 version of these teams i am talking about. Mcgrady is slower now, and so is kidd, but that isnt my point. The point is, our best were not playing, period. Those guys are outstanding now, but they were still young then, espeically Howard and Paul who have imrpoved their games 10fold. Not to mention, those guys had only been together a very short time, and with this improved playing field, they were outstanding for what they had to work with in a short amount of time, only losing once and sustaining 3rd place.

European basketball has competed with us, but surpassed us? What the **** do you call the last 2 years? We have beaten down every team since with the exception of Greece.

European basketball is improving, and has improved dramatically within the last 10 years, but to say they have surpassed us is a stretch. Why dont you watch ESPN2 right now.

It’s true. Let’s see who wins the gold medal.

The best americans not playing FIBA basketball is a fact, however the way our teams were organized, we got a much needed wakeup call and i am glad we lost like we did, because now we are playing team basketball.

I take no credit away from lithuania, greece and yugoslavia, the only european teams to beat us in the last what, 38 years i think? But examining all of the factors that go into why we lose is important, because i could yield to the simplicity of "THE EUROPEANS HAVE SURPASSED US" but there is more to it than that.

                  in what sport?

**I follow basketball man. that team that lost wasn't really much of a team, way too much emphasis on 1 vs 1 and flashy play

where the Euro leagues focus more on the team element, moving the ball, etc.

that's probably what kay means, that the Euro's are more team oriented.

The DID surpass us on a few occasions. I didn't mean to say there was some permanent shift in power.
