they should do the weigh ins just hours before the fight, that way neither fighter can get a weight advantage. It's ******ed that bigger, less talented fighters do well just because they can cut a lot of weight. meh
Leonard was not a small Welter. He was 5'10'' and started his career at Welter. He also fought as high as Light Heavy. He would have stood equal in terms of size with today's Welters.

Not always, but in the state of today's Welterweight division, the larger fighters are whoopin some ass.
