Thats Why Its Called Boxing And Not Brawling...lol

Ok all this talk about Cotto being able to beat Mayweather, I'd like to know how. The reason I think that Margs has a shot is his beard and out put, not his talent.

Cotto while more skilled would not be against Mayweather. Mayweather is faster and way more solid on defense, Cotto wouldn't be able to find Mayweather like he did Margs. Cotto is fast and strong, but it is obvious he can be hurt and Mayweather's pin point accuracy would hurt Cotto. I don't think that Cotto would be able to land most of those shots he landed on Margs on Mayweather.

People comparing his performance against Margarito to what he would do with Mayweather to me are absurd. Mayweather is much more agile, has the ability to make anybody miss. Mayweather also shows a lot of different angles.

Cotto likes to wait for openings and land punches efficiently how does he do that against a Mayweather? Cotto is fast but Mayweather is faster and quicker, more rhythmic, with even better foot work.

How would Cotto beat Mayweather at his own game? Now I am not a Mayweather fan, in fact I would love to see this man KO'd, but I just don't see how his talents proved that he could beat Mayweather.

I thought Margarito's relentless style and output gave him a better shot at Mayweather because he is willing to hit you on the shoulders, arms, as well as the head and body. His output is the biggest reason, Mayweather would have a difficult time winning using his defense. He would have to be willing to throw punches way more often, which just creates more openings.

I know I just opened a huge can of worms, but that is how I feel. Cotto can't do half the things he did to Margs to Mayweather. Him proving his skills that I already knew he had(he fought more boxer like earlier in his career) doesn't prove to me that he can do anything to Mayweather. Mayweather is a completely different style then Margarito and thinking you can predict a win in favor of Cotto after a loss to Margarito makes no sense to me, especially since the majority don't think that Margarito has a shot against him.

Now I am not saying Cotto can't win because if his power does ring Mayweather's bell then there you go. But who was the last fighter to hit Mayweather square, or when for that matter? This isn't a knock on Cotto as I think he is the most talented active welterweight right now. To me Mayweather would never lose in a skill to skill match up.

GREAT POINT MAN!!! AND ALSO FLOYD HAD A TORN ROTATOR CUFF IN THE FIRST FIGHT AND STILL BEAT HIM SECOND FIGHT FLOYD DOMINATED EVERY ROUND AND FLOYD WASNT EVEN IN HIS PRIME THEN....I DONT THINK MARGO COULD BEAT A PRIME CASTILLO, IT WOULD END LIKE THIS

After all that said in done, I still say that Margarito uses output to a UD. I don't think Mayweather would be willing to open up and throw punches as often as he would need to against very game Margarito. Margarito would be in his face running up to him to beat on him, though he may not hit him all that often if you are chasing the other who isn't throwing punches I see a win in favor of Margarito by UD only because his output would look more effective then Mayweather throwing half that amount of shots and retreating constantly.

              Mayweather fears Margarito.

              Roger Mayweather,
"Floyd i've felt that type of pressure from Chavez, you don't want none of that."

Floyd Jr. "I aint' crazy Roger, i ain't fighting Margarito."

ONE THING IVE NOTICED ABOUT MARGO IS THAT HE NOT THAT GOOD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING AND WE KNOW FLOYD IS..FLOYD WOULD KEEP THE FIGHT IN THE MIDDLE AND SLIP N COUNTER OR POT SHOT ALL NIGHT...TRUST ME ON THIS ONE MANN MARGOS PUNCHES ARE TOO SLOW AND WIDE AND PREDICTABLE FOR FLOYD IF COTTO CAN MAKE HIM MISS HOW MUCH MORE WOULD FLOYD MAKE HIM MISS?????
