I look at it like Floyd looks at boxing. A lot of people represent one guy just like Floyd does which is himself. No one tries to just talk boxing any longer, just their fighters. Its all just a bunch of fan boys.

I agree. I think there's a hell of a lot of kids on the boards now. Not being ageist but you cant tell when the owned sign, and the wide array of imature smileys are used. I think features like that on the site encourage this behaviour and culture unfortunately. Everyone is brought down by it, I know I have been as it's difficult to not challenge ppl to try and bring some sense around to talk objectively at least.

I think more and more casual fans are coming in whom unfortunately aren't very educated on boxing and just judge on a whim. I was a casual fan only a year ago, even when I first started posting on the forums earlier this year I would try to not to judge so much on the area's I wasn't knowledgeable on. If one does I think it's important to state it's a personal estimation, not simply how it is which is what most do. So it turns into an argument there on.

The ALT's are one major driving force and I think it's getting to the point the site's staff need to seriously address that as a starting point. Limit one IP to one account.

I can relate to this and I haven't even been posting here that long. When I started I was all about factual boxing talk, these days I end up arguing with all kinds of people about all kinds of dumb stuff. It gets hard to stay out of it after a while.

True. Part of it is due to the Floyd dislike. There would be literally a page full of "Floyd is a coward" or "Floyd is ducking Cotto."


That's all that the topics were about. I stopped posting in here for a while but it has died down somewhat. Now the current Margarito guys are going to make trillions of threads on how he's an Aztec Warrior, Mexican God, Rambo in the Flesh etc.
