He didn't fight an immediate rematch with Williams, nor is he fighting him right away. Who knows what the case is, but don't act like Margs is looking for money fights. Who can he fight for money right now that the public will want to see? Shane, Judah possibly. Shane is 37 years old. Floyd was cirticized for fighting Judah after he lost to Baldy and Margs is so-called looking at the possibility of fighting Judah or Clottey or is he really hoping Shane beats Mayorga or Mayorga at 154? You guys have your heads up your asses you hypocritical Margs fans. Who can Margs make money with right now. I see a Cotto-Margs rematch. Arum does not want to promote Williams. That to me is phony.Last edited by Boofdatruth; 08-02-2008, 01:34 PM.Comment

We are talking about the Williams-Margs rematch. Why won't he take the fight now? You accused Floyd of looking for the money, accuse everyone of being scared of a limitied fighter who nobody fights because of money yet you think the world is scared of him. Barrera, and Morales were battle worn fighters when Pac faced them. Valero is in his PRIME. Arum is scum, and you defending him makes you in the same mold. Tell Chips Ahoy ears to fight Williams. Tell him!
Valero sucks. Pac, MAB, JMM and maybe even Eric Morales could beat him tommorow. You're pathetic. If you had seen him fight you would know this.Comment

The reason Williams-Margarito II isn't going to happen next, however, has nothing to do with Margarito being afraid to face him. It has everything to do with the animosity between Arum and Al Haymon, Williams' manager.
Arum and Haymon have had a poisonous relationship for the past few years, since Haymon engineered Mayweather's break from Top Rank.
The relationship seemed to thaw recently when Arum negotiatied with Williams' promoter Dan Goossen for a potential fall fight between Top Rank-promoted middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik and Williams.
However, the deal went south. Arum said he thought they had a deal and blamed Haymon, not Goossen, for killing it over money.
"We at Top Rank are not doing business with those people with the way they f---ed me around on the Pavlik fight," Arum told me this week. "To string me along for two weeks and make a schmuck out of me, I have no desire to do business with them. They can paint it any way they want. And just so you know, I'm not talking about the puppet [Goossen]. I'm talking about the puppeteer [Haymon]. If you don't want to do a fight, just say it. You don't string a guy along to f--- him up and f--- up his fighter. I almost lost a date for Pavlik because of those people. It has nothing to do with the fact that [Williams] beat Margarito. Frankly, I think Dan was as taken aback by the conduct as I was."Comment
