Zab Judah-Joshua Clottey: The Pre-Fight Report Card

So did the Margarito fight. Just because they went the distance does not mean Clottey has great stamina as you could clearly see in the fight. And again like I said it depends on how hard his opponent is working; Alvarez for example does not have a solid work rate so Clottey did not really fade that much.
And I never said his stamina was poor. It just is not solid..Comment

I just saw the fight with Flores again and I agree will repeat what I said before and what you are saying, Clottey can not fight 12 hard rounds. He completely switched his style and made it a limited contact fight after about 6 rounds. mind you Flores in no world class fighter himself. So did the Margarito fight. That said I still favor him over Zab but think it's a pick em fight.Comment

Yeah he loses energy fast, which is weird because he says he runs like 12 miles. He always switches styles when he gets tired by going into the tight defense and fights in spurts. But even when he fights in spurts he throws hard punches.I just saw the fight with Flores again and I agree will repeat what I said before and what you are saying, Clottey can not fight 12 hard rounds. Yeah, but the point is he has to fight spurts and that will make him vulnerable against fighters who can fight all night, such are Williams, Margarito, and Cotto, It's hard to win a fight against a guy when you give away half rounds at a time. I can't say the same about super Zab, but being that this is his final shot maybe he'll be in the condition to fight 12 hard rounds.Comment

Running has nothing to do with throwing punches. Thats like saying a marathoner should last 12 rounds. Its when you can throw punches in training without getting tired thats when youre in fighting shape.Comment

so being able to "move" and get out of the way of punches has nothing to do with boxng? i mean you have a point, but dude has a point too.........running that much, you should have fresh legs down the stretch of a boxing match. i guess the question is WHEN he runs. if its just training camp, thats a problem. the best boxers stay in shape whether they're preparing for a fight or not.Comment
