Forget Kellerman or Merchant, get rid of Lampley!

lampley has a great voice! He brings emotion and drama to the fight! it wouldnt be the same with out his commenting!!!

If anybody should be gone it should be Merchant!!! He is far more biased than Lampley, and acts like he is the reason people are watching the fight. He is a modern day Howard Cossell, only not as entertaining. Whenever a fighter that he roots against wins, or when they try to get more camera time at the end of a fight than him, he interupts them and cuts them off just so he can get more air time.

I like that you brought up Cossell. Cossell loved Ali. He would go and on about it. It is a part of the gig sometimes that you become a fan of this great sport when you are calling a fight. People forget that Cossell was breaking down when Ali was getting killed by Holmes. It is a part of this sport. I think there isn't another sport where there is such a close relationship between the media and the athletes.

I can't stand merchant, It takes him 30 seconds to get out something that should take 10 seconds to say.

I understand Lampley loves boxing and everything, but a lot of things he says can be not just annoying, but EXTREMELY annoying. It's like, he's cool but when he ****s up, it's big **** up. His biase commentating is the worst part about him, but I do like the fact that he is all about the sport. Just too bad he doesn't commentate like he is. I have zero beefs with Kellerman. The guy makes smart quick comments, and he knows his ****. He will be taking over for Merchant and it's for good reason.

Who wouldnt a Classy Gentleman lost and was not given a fair shake by the ref that night.
It is painful to see such a good ambassador for boxing and future superstar be denied his throne because of an ungrateful American who claims tijuana over califas.

I think Lamp is a good commentator at times......I had the fight 5/5 even but his bias with Cotto on that fight made me believe why alot of people had cotto 6/4 over Margarito...he was missing out on alot of the body shots Margarito was nailing Cotto with. I'm pretty sure Lamp knows now so if there is a Rematch between the 2 his commentary would be different.
