As for this fight, Chambers doesn't need to fight Haye becuase he would surely lose. He needs to try to get down to cruiserweight becuase he can be pretty dominate down there. Haye would be too much for him.
horrible post. chambers clearly just couldnt take the pressure of povetkin and something from povetkin obviously made chambers very cautious. who's to say chambers wouldnt have been caught and stopped had he been more agressive? if there was anything wrong with anyone it was with povetkin who had the flu prior to the fight. I think chambers would beat haye fwiw. haye is going to have to be matched very carefully at heavyweight

Stylistically, Chambers would give Haye problems but if he isn't active enough like he was against Povetkin, Haye would win, I doubt it'll happen anyway.

If Haye is so good, then he should not be afraid to fight this boxer.

Haye is quicker than anyone Chambers has faced i think it would be an intresting fight I think chambers would do well early on landing some good counter punches but his work rate has always been poor. To me watching the Povetkin Chambers fight it was clear that Chambers had more naturally ability than the slow plodding Povetkin but he just went into a shell after 4 rounds maybe due to a Povetkin punch or Povetkin's high work rate, It was clear Povetkin had more will to win than Chambers.

I agree that Chambers is the best American HW but should have took his chance against Povetkin a fight he was winning but got too bogged down with defence.

Povetkin isn't "slow and plodding", Duffgun. Did you watch the fight?

Chambers was kicking his ass from rounds 1-4. After that he just suddenly stop fighting, it had nothing do with Povetkin adjusting to Chambers style. Povetkin was doing the same **** from rounds 1-4, the only difference was Chambers was hardly throwing any punches which allowed Povetkin to land his. When a fighter suddenly stops fighting then their was something wrong with him mentally. imo I think Chambers felt like he was in a lose-lose situation, had he won the fight he would have to fight against Klitschko which he clearly isn't ready for. Also the odds were against him and I think Chambers bought into that and allowed the pressure of a big fight get to him. If Chambers wanted too, he could of easily won that fight by UD.
