Corrales was a big KO puncher but he was thin as a rail.

Power comes from the Legs, mainly

almost all the boxers in this thread dont have wide shoulders.. cept for cintron. im not sure about the pros and cons of wide and narrow shoulders. maybe wider shoulders get more torque but narrower gets more speed.

Sarts off from the legs, then twist ur hips a little bit and make sure your shoulders aren't too tense so that you can punch fast.

Ricardo Torres and David Tua come to mind as exceptions to your rule, but there will always be exceptions. Generally speaking, you're right. I don't think anyone would have questioned it before reading this though. I mean, how many lanky fighters do you have to see before you realize wide bodies can equal power? Only someone who doesnt watch boxing would think that arm muscles would equate to punching power.

you took the words out of my mouth, legs play a massive part in power-punching, but again, not in everyone- Hearns had legs like sticks. Also Amir Khan has a huge back and v-shape physique but isnt a massive puncher

I threw ALOT of punches one day (much more than I usually do I mean) and the next day it were especially triceps + middle upper back + side lower back that were sore.

Whenever I try to train my back (with eg lat pulldowns and pull ups) it looks like my biceps are doing all the work. I barely ever feel my back working...
                  Is that normal?
If not, how am I supposed to do pullups and lat pulldowns then?

                  Thanks in advance.
