        Great article.

Margarito is a study in relentless determination.

He fooled a lot of people, including myself.

His fight with Cotto was a study in contrasts, if only to point out to the younger and inexperienced boxers that superior conditioning and bull-headed persistence is of utmost importance. A near perfect re-enactment of the well known children's story of the tortoise and the hare.

Can't say much about his defense which leaves a lot to be desired.

But he certainly earned everyone's respect.

Cotto vs Margarito is a classic battle of the ages with a permanent spot in the history books.

Margarito going to keep tearing people up

Oh Margarito still has alot left in the tank. He's gonna fight plenty of people out there, until there's no one left to fight. He's going to keep tearing up stuff. Sky's the limit baby. Cotto is going to have to rebound. We'll see how good he is. Cotto= # 2. Tijuana Tornado + # 1.

Margarito Pound 4 Pound Welterweight Champ

Keith, it's sad to see someone in your position not give Antonio Margarito the credit that he deserves after knocking out Miguel Cotto and proving to everyone that he is no joke. I ask myself, what is going through your mind when you say that if there is a rematch, Cotto would win. Believe me, I'm not taking away anything from the former champ, but please let's look at Cotto's only strategy for the fight, which was to box and move. Now what makes you thinks that in a rematch, Margarito is not going to cut off the ring on Cotto and force him to fight his style of fight, when he already knows that Cotto's only hope is to run and hope that he does not get hit as much as he did on July 26. Let's face it, even the "BIG," Paul Williams felt Margarito's power and ran all night, which was his only route to victory. And after proclaiming himself as the pound 4 pound king of the Welterweight division, lost the title immediately to, Carlos Quintana. As a fight fan, I applause Margarito for demonstrating that he is a true champion!
