Carl Thompson was actually a crusierweight champion and i actually seen that fight live, back in 1998 if i am remembering correctly.

The Purrity fight was over 10 YEARS AGO....Wlad was only 21 years old.

Wlad beat the living **** outta Purrity for 10 rounds and completely ran out of gas....Wlad collapsed from fatigue

The Haye/Thompson fight was only 3 YEARS AGO....Haye got knocked out by a 41 year old light heavyweight.

whatever spin you want to put on it, Purrity was a BUM plain and simple his record speaks for its self, you wouldn't see Peter or Chagaev lose to such opposition. Neither would haye

Super middleweight? He was a cruiserweight for the majority of his career

He looked more exhausted than anything else.

Anyway, its hard to tell how he would do against Wladimir.

Are you serious man? Haye had only 10 fights to his name at the time and Klitschko had over 20 from what i am remembering. Haye was also beating Thompson at the time he was stopped. This is the double standard that i am talking about. Why be a critic towards him when you guys have a favorite fighter that has an infererior resume to Haye when he only had that many fights. Who did Klitschko beat when he only had 15 fights? Thompson is also a natural cruiserweight.

Last time i checked it was a TKO loss. Big difference.

                Thompson>Purity.

Thompson was a 2x British Cruiserweight champion, a 2x European Cruiserweight champion, 2x IBO Cruiserweight champion, and former WBO Cruiserweight champion. The only reason he gets no respect is because he spent his entire career at cruiserweight, a fairly obscure divison, and he wasn't American.

Haye spanked him early in the fight and most refs would have halted the action in Hayes favour.
Rather than this fight being detrimental to Haye it actually benefited him and forced him to re-evaluate his commitment to his trade.
Like a lot of great fighters he learnt a lesson.
Just remember that the majority of men in the hall of fame all suffered defeats.

This kind of horse**** post reveals your true lack of knowledge about Boxing.

...The limey announcer said it best. "Hayes career is in taters". He resurrected and created an illusion by fighting bums ever since. Wlad would launch this guys head into orbit. Haye had nothing after the 2nd round. That's a special kind of **** conditioning. I never knew Solis stopped him in the olympics. I missed that the first time I saw this.
