Wladimir has been knocked out by worse fighters and i haver noticed that you are pretty big fan of his by occasionally browsing through these forums every once and a while. You are in no position to be clowning Haye kid. Ross Purity was a journeyman and never held a title, and he stopped Wladimir in similar fashion. I sense a double standard here. Carl Thompson was actually a crusierweight champion and i actually seen that fight live, back in 1998 if i am remembering correctly.

Are you serious man? Haye had only 10 fights to his name at the time and Klitschko had over 20 from what i am remembering. Haye was also beating Thompson at the time he was stopped. This is the double standard that i am talking about. Why be a critic towards him when you guys have a favorite fighter that has an infererior resume to Haye when he only had that many fights. Who did Klitschko beat when he only had 15 fights? Thompson is also a natural cruiserweight.

This was Haye's 10th fight against a very game well schooled Carl Thompson.
A guy renowned for his will to come back from being almost Ko'ed.
Haye spanked him early in the fight and most refs would have halted the action in Hayes favour.
Rather than this fight being detrimental to Haye it actually benefited him and forced him to re-evaluate his commitment to his trade.
Like a lot of great fighters he learnt a lesson.
Just remember that the majority of men in the hall of fame all suffered defeats.
