This was Haye's 10th fight against a very game well schooled Carl Thompson.
A guy renowned for his will to come back from being almost Ko'ed.
Haye spanked him early in the fight and most refs would have halted the action in Hayes favour.
Rather than this fight being detrimental to Haye it actually benefited him and forced him to re-evaluate his commitment to his trade.
Like a lot of great fighters he learnt a lesson.
Just remember that the majority of men in the hall of fame all suffered defeats.

This kind of horse**** post reveals your true lack of knowledge about Boxing.

David Haye was 9-0 when he fought Thompson. Thompson was 32 - 6 with 25 KOs and had competed at cruiser for 14 years, so where you got your 'super middle' fact from I'll never know. He was also a former WBO and European cruiserweight champion with real power. And Haye went in there and nearly blasted him out within a round. Thompson whethered the storm and came back strong when the inexperienced Haye ran out of gas.

And then I went to Thompson's after party. That was a ****ing good night.

But, basically, to say that because of this fight Haye is a joke shows how little you actually know.
