Honestly man, he got his ass thrashed from round 7-11 thats about 12 minutes of a professional Boxer who's bigger than you ****ing u up. U saw all that blood coming from his mouth nose and eyes, he was in ****ing shock....watch the fight again....and no he ain't gone be the same, dont mean he wont recover but he wont be the same.

Woah! 3 Dominicano'sI agree with you man. I told my brother months ago that if Cotto were to fight Margarito, He would get hurt and probably wont be the same. I was rooting for Tony with Cotto being my #2 fave but its more of a brother/competition thing since his favorite fighter is Cotto. He was so stuck on Cotto winning by staying away and boxing but from past stamina issues I knew this was going to end badly for him. Now I feel bad for Cotto because this was such a reversal of roles between Puerto Rican and Mexican fighters. Vargas/Trinidad and Cotto/Margarito. I hope he can put this behind him and come back as a top 5 fighter.Comment

That type of beatdown is different but I've always admired Lennox for avenging his loss to Rahman with one of the best ko's I have ever seen.
Who knows with Cotto? I'd be anxious to see for sure.Comment

Lennox didn't take a beatdown. That was a one-punch KO. He has suffered two of those.
But a sustained beating is another thing. Guys generally do not bounce back from those. But again, top guys do not get brutally beaten down very often.Comment

As great as it would be to see Miguel get back on the top of his game in extraordinary fashion... I would'nt bet on it.I see alot of fans (mostly Puerto Ricans) saying that Cotto will be back "better than ever".
REALLY?
When's the last time a fighter came back undiminished from that type of physical and mental beating? Name 'em.
I have seen many fighters - including some recently - who were on an upward arc, but had their careers derailed by exactly that type of beating... or a similar thrashing.
Examples:
Hamed post Barrera
Lacy post Calzaghe
Hatton post Mayweather
Taylor post Chavez
Vargas post Trinidad
I'm hopeful that Miguel will be back and will be as good or better. but, as a betting man, the odds are against it.Comment
