    Cotto has earned my respect!

I was never high on him! I watched him fight for the first time here in fresno i think over 5 years ago! Never really been too impressed with him and always felt he was very beatable. I do feel for his kids and baby mom that were breaking down after the fight! Looking at cotto's bloody face and i will post the gif im talking about only to show you what im talking about. He just had a look of beaten! he had enough when he took a knee the second time you can see he was looking at his corner instantly hinting at them to stop it! I don't blame him he took a beaten but he showed alot of heart and courage saturday night! he brawled alot with margarito and gave it all he had and gave all us fans a fight i'll remember for ever!

looking at this gif makes me want to call truce with the people hating on margarito pre-fight. This gif shows the life beaten out of cotto and you can see quit all over cotto's face.

Thanks cotto for willing to fight anyone! For accepting a tony fight twice! and for going in there and giving us fans a fight for the ages!

After seeing the weigh in and size disparity, I actually felt sorry for Miguel. I picked Tony to knock him out prior to the weigh in, but seeing the difference just told me that a severe ass beating was on its way.

Cotto has finally earned my respect as well. I've teeter-tottered on him for a while because of different factors.

I liked him when he beat N'dou and Bailey. I was pissed about the hometown stoppage against Corley. I liked him again when he beat Torres, Malignaggi and Quintana. I was extremely pissed about the lowblows against Judah (the fact that both came right when Judah had Miguel hurt. 1st was after Judah landed the uppercut, second was after Judah split his mouth open.)

Then I liked him again against Mosley, and what he showed for boxing ability. And I was pissed he picked on Gomez even though I hate Gomez, I thought he shouldn't have taken on an opponet who was outclassed that badly.

After seeing him take the beating from Margarito, I now fully respect him both as a man and as a fighter.

Cotto just couldn't handle Margo's size and chin. Cotto's made his best wins come from either bulldozing someone who was vulnerable (Judah) or out boxing someone who was known for being much more technical (Mosley). He couldn't do either to Margarito, since he kept coming forward and took all his best shots.

I'm still a huge Cotto fan, and I hope he comes back better than ever. Plus, the first loss is always the hardest, but it makes fighters better, they dont have the coveted "0" anymore.

I agree, I never actually bought a Cotto PPV, but after showing alot of heart vs Margarito, I will most likely buy his next PPV(but he needs a long rest after that match). You can't also blame the boxer for his fans **** talking though. I'm happy Margarito won...Mexico needed this....now I can only hope De La Hoya doesn't pick on the little guy and give us a Mexican Mega Fight vs Margarito.

im torn.......I had alot of respect for him prior to this fight, but I like fighters who are warriors....I didn't see that saturday...I saw a guy quitting rather then fighting through some adversity....I'll have to think about it some more
