Why does everyone thank god for their victories?

I mean that Holyfield video i posted is a great example of taking it to the extreme, he doesn't answer any of the questions properly all he says is "yeh god made me do it, he's the man who got me through it" and so on. If he's going to do that then what's the point in accepting to do a post fight interview, nobody cares if god got him through the fight.

I do respect that, but answer me this one question. Why do they never thank god for them being safe when they lose?
Surely even if you lose you should thank God for keeping you safe in the ring that night without any serious injuries. It only seems to happen when a fighter wins.

God has more to do with it then your giving credit. He blessed the fighter with the oppourtunity to even be in the situation to get the fight. He blessed both fighters win or lose to be as healthy and in as good of shape as they are in. Because there's tons of people who would love to be in their shoes. God gives everyone the strength to train. Maybe the fighter feels God blessed him and gave him extra strength or luck because when his back was against the wall he got some sort of boost never seen before (which would be a blessing).
Maybe the fighter is thanking God for the money to support his family. Boxing could have saved the fighters life. Without boxing what would that person be? Life could've been rough and boxing was the only way out. There's tons of scenarios but basicially anyone fighting on big time tv should be thankful. So why not thank God?

And if it bothers you so much fighters thank God, in your case a fighter you obviously like, thanks God, then why dont you just shut the hell up and turn the Tv off and never watch them again? Instead you took time to find videos of past fights you've watched and put some thread up and supported why fighters shouldn't be thanking God.
Get a life. Preferrably with GOD involved. I'm no everyday chruch guy but man this whole discussion is ridiculous. You have to much time on your hands.

They think god will save them from losing, but when they lose, will they ever do that cross **** again?
